Made to Last

Fresh VS Healed

Your Questions Answered

Does getting a tattoo hurt?

Every tattoo feels different depending on the placement, size and your individual pain tolerance. Most people describe the sensation as a constant scratching or vibration rather than a sharp pain. Areas with more muscle or fat tend to be more comfortable, while places close to bone can feel more intense. We'll guide you through the process, work at a pace that suits you, and make sure you're as comfortable as possible throughout your appointment.

A 20% deposit is required to secure your appointment and covers the artist's preparation time and artwork. The deposit is deducted from the final cost of your tattoo on the day. Deposits are generally non-refundable if you cancel without sufficient notice, but we'll always do our best to help if you need to rearrange within our cancellation policy.

Yes, but we ask that you discuss it with us before your appointment. Some numbing creams can affect the skin and may not be suitable for every tattoo or placement. If you plan to use one, we'll advise you on the products we recommend and the correct way to apply them to ensure the best possible results.

Get a good night's sleep, eat a proper meal before your appointment and stay well hydrated. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed, and avoid excessive alcohol the night before. If you're feeling unwell, let us know as soon as possible so we can discuss the best course of action.

Most tattoos heal on the surface within 2–4 weeks, but the deeper layers of skin can take 6–8 weeks to fully recover. We'll provide detailed aftercare advice before you leave and are always happy to answer any questions while your tattoo heals. Following the aftercare instructions carefully will help your tattoo heal beautifully and retain its detail.

You're welcome to bring a friend or family member for support where space allows. During busy periods or longer appointments, we may ask guests to wait in our reception area to ensure a comfortable environment for everyone. If you're unsure, just ask when booking and we'll let you know what's possible for your appointment.
